Wasted Day...
I spent well over 2 hours looking for one statement from Aristotle's Politics. Searching the document did not work. I knew it was there, and when I finally found it I was totally burnt out!!
Next time you might consider using Google Books or Amazon to do a keyword search of the text. Or even in the case of the Poetics you could probably find a free ebook version eg via Project Gutenberg...
David--thanks for the tip. Unfortunately, I knew the idea I was looking for, but not the exact wording. I was working with an eBook version, but without the exact words, I had to guess at the terms. I did finally find it. I think it was Project Gutenberg or Barnes and Noble where I found the entire Rhetoric for free.
